Totem Rush Privacy Policy
Effective date:
Totem Rush is an endless-runner adventure game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, and no analytics of our own. Your progress is saved on your device. The free game is supported by advertising and offers optional in-app purchases. Advertising is the only part of the app that involves third parties. This page explains exactly what that means for your data.
1. Who we are
Totem Rush is developed and published by Sueños Digitales, an independent mobile app development studio. We are the “data controller” for the app, which means we are responsible for how it handles your data.
You can reach us at supporttotemrush@suenos-digitales.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the Totem Rush app for iPhone and iPad, distributed on the Apple App Store. It does not cover:
- this website, which has its own privacy policy;
- the App Store or Apple Game Center, which Apple runs under its own terms and privacy policy.
3. The short version
- We do not collect personal information. There is no account, no email address, no name and no precise location. Totem Rush never asks you for any of these.
- Your game stays on your device. Coins, gems, runners, upgrades, stage stars, records, missions and settings are stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We run no server for Totem Rush.
- Ads are the only third-party data use. The free game shows ads served by Google AdMob and its mediation partners. Those networks receive technical device data. They receive your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
- Leaderboards are Apple’s. If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple’s Game Center, not to us.
- You are in control. You can deny tracking, reset your advertising identifier, change your ad consent, or remove banner and interstitial ads permanently with a one-time purchase.
4. Data stored on your device
To work as a game, Totem Rush keeps a small amount of data in the app’s private storage on your device:
- your coins, gems and relic shards;
- the runners you have unlocked and selected, and your power-up upgrades and run boosts;
- stage stars, unlocked worlds, best score, best distance, Daily Trail best, and lifetime totals (runs, distance, coins);
- your rank, mission progress, daily challenges, daily login streak and the free-chest timer;
- your settings (sound, music, vibration) and whether you have completed the tutorial;
- whether you own Remove Ads, Coin Doubler or the Starter Pack, plus the identifiers of completed purchase transactions, so a purchase is never delivered twice;
- ad frequency bookkeeping (for example, when you last saw a full-screen ad), so we can keep ads infrequent;
- whether you have already answered the tracking and ad-consent questions, so we do not ask again.
None of this is sent to us. We receive no gameplay data. Deleting the app deletes all of it. Purchases of Remove Ads, Coin Doubler and the Starter Pack can be restored on any device signed in to the same Apple Account, using “Restore Purchases”.
5. Advertising
The free game is supported by advertising:
- Banner ads on menu screens only. They never appear during a run.
- Full-screen ads occasionally, only after a run has ended. They are never shown in your first few runs and never more than about once every three runs.
- Rewarded video ads only when you choose to watch one. They are used to revive, to double your coins, to triple a free chest, to collect a daily reward twice, to earn free gems, or to skip a mission.
Ads are delivered by Google AdMob. AdMob may pass a given ad request to one of the partner networks listed in section 7. We do not choose which ad you see, and we do not see who you are.
To request and show an ad, the advertising software built into the app sends the ad network technical information about your device. This may include:
- your IP address, from which a coarse location (such as country or city) can be inferred;
- device type, operating-system version, language, screen size and time zone;
- the app’s identifier and version;
- ad interaction data, such as which ads were shown and whether they were tapped or watched to the end;
- your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking (see section 6);
- crash and performance diagnostics generated by the advertising software.
Ad networks use this data to:
- deliver ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud;
- show you ads that are more relevant to you, but only where you have allowed it.
If you do not allow it, you still see ads, but they are not personalised from a cross-app profile.
Consent in Europe. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app shows Google’s consent form before any personalised ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Choices (ads) inside the game.
6. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
Totem Rush asks your permission before any ad network may access your device’s advertising identifier or link data about you across other companies’ apps and websites. This is Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. It appears once, when you first open the game, after a short screen that explains it. The advertising software does not start until you have answered.
If you choose Ask App Not to Track:
- the advertising identifier is not shared;
- ads are limited to non-personalised, contextual ads;
- the game plays exactly the same either way.
You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Our advertising partners
Ads in Totem Rush are served through Google AdMob. AdMob uses “mediation”, which means an individual ad may be filled by one of the partner networks below. Each is an independent company that processes the data described in section 5 under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): https://policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- AppLovin: https://www.applovin.com/privacy/
- ironSource (Unity Technologies): https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- Liftoff (Vungle): https://liftoff.io/privacy-policy/
- Meta Audience Network (Meta Platforms): https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
- Pangle (Bytedance): https://www.pangleglobal.com/privacy/enduser-en
- Unity Ads (Unity Technologies): https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
The list may change over time as networks are added or removed, and we will keep this page current. Ad networks may also use the data they receive to work out which ad led to an app install. On iOS this uses Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork system, which does not identify you.
8. In-app purchases
Totem Rush offers optional purchases:
- Consumable packs of coins and gems, used only inside the game;
- One-time upgrades: Remove Ads (removes banner and full-screen ads; optional reward videos stay available), Coin Doubler and the Starter Pack.
Every payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, payment card or Apple Account details. The app receives only a confirmation that a purchase succeeded, which it uses to deliver the item. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
All prices are shown in the app before you buy. Purchases are subject to Apple’s terms, and refunds are handled by Apple.
9. Apple Game Center
Totem Rush uses Apple Game Center for its leaderboards (High Score, Daily Trail, Longest Run) and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device:
- your scores and achievements are sent to Apple, under your Game Center profile and nickname;
- other players can see them on leaderboards, according to your Game Center settings;
- if you allow it, the app may show your Game Center friends’ scores next to yours.
This data is handled by Apple, not by us. We do not receive your Apple Account details, your contacts or your friends list. Game Center is optional: the game plays fully without it. You can sign out, or change who can see your profile, in iOS Settings → Game Center.
10. What we don’t do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not create accounts or ask for your name, email, phone number or photos.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data.
- We do not run our own analytics or tracking.
- We do not have a server that stores data about you.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children (see section 13).
11. How long data is kept
- Game data on your device stays until you delete the app.
- Data received by ad networks is kept according to each network’s own policy (see section 7).
- Game Center data is kept by Apple according to Apple’s policy.
- We hold no copy of any of it.
12. Your choices and rights
You can at any time:
- deny or allow tracking (iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking);
- reset your advertising identifier, or turn on Limit Ad Tracking where available;
- change your ad-consent choice in the game’s Settings, if you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland;
- buy Remove Ads to stop banner and full-screen ads;
- delete all game data by deleting the app.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to:
- access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising.
Because we do not hold personal data about you, most requests are best directed to the ad network concerned, or exercised through the controls above. You may always contact us, and we will help. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Children
Totem Rush is rated 9+ on the App Store. It is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has used the app in a way that caused personal information to be shared with an ad network, contact us. We will help you contact the network so the information can be deleted. Parents can turn on Screen Time and restrict in-app purchases and ad tracking on a child’s device.
14. Security
Your game data is kept in the app’s private, sandboxed storage on your device. It is protected by iOS, including file encryption while the device is locked. Communication between the advertising software and ad networks uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Purchases are handled and verified by Apple.
15. International transfers
Sueños Digitales operates internationally. Our advertising partners and Apple may process data on servers in other countries, including the United States, under their own legal safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
16. Changes to this policy
If we change how Totem Rush handles data, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be described in the app’s release notes on the App Store.
